Fax Once Guide
How much does it cost to send a fax?
Updated October 31, 2026
At a copy or shipping shop, guides put a US fax at roughly $1.50 to $3 a page. Apps charge either by the fax or by the month. Fax Once costs $2.99 for a fax of up to 30 pages.
Worked examples
A shop's price depends on the number of pages. Fax Once's doesn't.
| Pages | Shop at $1.50 to $3 a page | Fax Once |
|---|---|---|
| 1 page | $1.50 to $3.00 | $2.99 |
| 3 pages | $4.50 to $9.00 | $2.99 |
| 10 pages | $15.00 to $30.00 | $2.99 |
| 30 pages | $45.00 to $90.00 | $2.99 |
Shop figures are our math from published estimates, not a price list. Shops set their own prices and some charge less for pages after the first, so call yours before you go. For a single page, a shop at the low end is cheaper than Fax Once.
The cost of a monthly plan
To compare a plan, divide its yearly price by the number of faxes you really send in a year. A plan can be a good deal if you fax every week. If you send two faxes a year, each one carries half of the whole yearly price.
Other costs to count
- The trip. A shop means travel and waiting, during its opening hours.
- A failed fax. Ask whether you still pay when the line is busy or the fax doesn't go through.
- Expired credits. Prepaid pages that expire can cost more than they look.
- A library. Some public libraries offer faxing, often for a small fee. Call to check.
