Fax Once has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. This page says exactly what leaves your iPhone, who handles it, and how long it is kept.

What happens when you send a fax

Only when you tap send, Fax Once sends these to our fax service:

• your pages, as one PDF
• the fax number and the cover sheet text you wrote, if any
• the signed App Store record of the purchase you are using, so we can check it is real and not used twice
• a random install ID that Fax Once makes on first launch. It is not your name, your Apple ID or your advertising ID.

The service passes the pages to Telnyx, the telephone company that places the fax call. The service runs on Cloudflare.

How long it is kept

• Your pages: held only until the fax has finished (delivered or failed), and no longer than one hour. They are not kept after that. They are not stored in your receipts.
• The fax number: only while the fax is going out, so we can retry a busy line. It is deleted the moment the fax finishes.
• The result of each fax (delivered or not, with no number and no pages): up to 7 days, so your phone can always learn what happened.
• Per-day counts for your install ID: 2 days. They enforce the limit of 10 faxes a day.
• The purchase ID and how many of its credits were used: kept as long as the credits could still be used. This stops one purchase being used twice. It holds no name and no contact details.

What stays on your iPhone

• Your credits and your receipts (number, page count, time and result). They are in the app's storage and in your device backups.
• Your scanned pages until the fax is delivered, then they are deleted. If a fax fails, the pages stay so you can try again, until you delete them.
• Photos you take for a fax are used by Fax Once only. Fax Once does not save them to your photo library.

Who sees the fax

The receiving fax machine prints or stores your pages, and sees the number the fax came from. Fax is not encrypted from end to end, so don't send what you wouldn't read out on a phone line.

Payments

Apple handles every purchase. We never see your card or your Apple ID.

Your choices

Delete receipts in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes everything on your iPhone, including credits that are not in a backup. To ask about data on our service, write to support@faxonceapp.com with the fax number and the time of the fax.
